George Rudolph Carrero, III passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the age of 67. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Kenner, LA. George spent his childhood working at his grandfather's produce stand and majority of his career as an agent in the horse racing industry.
George is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karon Canterbury. Beloved father of Lara Patterson (Jerod), Christopher Bechtel (Ashley), Sabrina Hastings (Jonathan), Carey Cozelos (Timothy) and Kimberley Carrero. Grandfather "Grampy" of Brooke, Keagan, Keeli, Talan, Kadence, Brayden, Joseph and Kinlei. Brother of Arlene Carrero Franke and Karen Cartee Davies. Uncle to Christa Musgrove, Mark Soutullo, Kristina Franke, Meghan McKenzie, Justin Davies and great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his late grandparents Henry and Catherine Sciambra; Parents George R. Carrero, Jr. and Kathleen Sciambra Carrero Cartee; Brother Henry Joseph Carrero and Son-in-law Julius "Jules" Bagley.
In accordance with the family's wishes, the memorial services will tentatively be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
