GEORGE M CLAUS
Of Foxhall Avenue Kingston, died at his home with his family at his side and in the care of Hospice on Friday October 17 2025. He was 63. Born in Kingston July 3 1962 he is a son of the late Horst and Edith (Kain) Claus.
George was employed as a mason and heavy equipment operator for PJL Construction of Saugerties. He was a multi-talented tradesman,who would help family and friends with projects. An active member of The Sons of The American Legion Post 150. He would join many friends that gathered at Stewarts parking lot for coffee and conversation. George looked forward to chats on the front porch with Dr. Habeeb, Ron Burns and Tommy Carlino.
Surviving are his sister, Suzanne DeWitt. Brother Peter Claus. Nephews; Kwane Landerway, Peter James Claus-Landi and Lukas DeWitt. Grand nephew Henry.
Cremation arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue Kingston. www.jvleahyfh.com. At George's request there would be no services. Celebrate George's memory by making a donation to your favorite charity.
