George Edward Clottin, age 80, of Onondaga, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025. He was born in Sliema, Malta to the late Edward and Marie Clottin.

George led a life full of adventure and deep love for his family. In his younger years, he lived in Australia, where he welcomed his son Christopher, before eventually returning to the United States. It was in Malta that he first met the love of his life, Dolores, and by fate they both later found themselves in New York, where they reunited and were married in 1967. Together, they raised three children and shared nearly six decades of life before Dolores' passing just three months prior to George's.

George had a spirited passion for the outdoors and found great joy in dirt bike riding with his kids, family vacations, and simply being active in nature. His adventurous nature and easygoing spirit created countless cherished memories for those he loved.

He is survived by his children, George Clottin and Christopher Clottin; grandchildren, Nicholas Clottin, Candice Clottin, Edward Clottin, Damien Clottin, and Belinda Brooks; and sisters, Anna Matthews and Elizabeth Clottin. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, George was preceded in death by his son, William Clottin, and his brothers, Anthony, Alfred, and Emmanuel Clottin.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A joint memorial service to honor both George and Dolores Clottin will be held at Compassionate Ministries of Jackson County on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 3:00 PM, 3737 Clinton Rd. Jackson, Michigan 49201. Their love story and legacy will live on through the family they built and the memories they leave behind and they both will be missed dearly.
