George Ronnie Cobb

George Cobb, 83, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026. Born to Carl and Nina Cobb, George lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

A proud Teamster and dedicated truck driver, George spent many years on the road, building friendships, stories, and a reputation for reliability that followed him throughout his career. When he wasn't working, he found joy in life's small pleasures - playing the lottery, trying his luck on "Ding Ding" machines, tending to his garden, painting, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs with unwavering enthusiasm.

George is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Nancy (Wehunt) Cobb, his parents Nina Cobb and Carl Clay Cobb and his brother Jerry Cobb. He is survived by his loving partner of 20 years, Mary Reece; his son John Cobb and John's fiancée, Vickie Gramling; his son Jason Cobb and Jason's wife, Sally Kim; and his cherished granddaughters, Parker and Avery, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He is also survived by his brother Pete Cobb and Pete's wife, Brenda, as well as his sister, Diane Cobb.

Mr. Cobb will be inurned at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, where he will rest peacefully among the hills and community he loved.
