Harper "Hop" Davis, age 54, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2026. He was born on March 13, 1971 to Clyde and Laura (Hampton) Davis in Jasper, GA. Harper graduated from Pickens High School in 1990, where he played many sports.
Harper loved to watch the Georgia Bulldogs, the Green Bay Packers, and whenever he got to watch WWE with Danica. He was a gifted cook, known for his dressing and collard greens on Thanksgiving, but what mattered most to him was his Blue Plate mayo. Harper was a man of faith, and in his earlier years had close ties to Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
Harper was a loving father, and his pride and joy were always his two daughters. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He was the kindest man, well known as a "Gentle Giant", and was always there to provide a helping hand to his friends and family. Harper had the best jokes, and was always making his family laugh, especially when he was "Just Resting His Eyes". He was loved dearly by his friends and family, and will be missed deeply by everyone.
Harper is survived by his loving daughters, Haley Davis and Danica Davis, his bonus daughter, Najae Howard, his fur grand babies, Blueberry and Henry, his siblings, Norma Davis, Clyde Jr. "Bay" Davis, and Tara Davis, and the mother of his daughters, Stephanie. He is further survived by his beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Sr. and Laura, grandparents, Julian and Ruby Hampton, Harper and Frances Davis, and his aunt, Annie Hampton.
Harper's visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay). With a memorial service to follow at 4:00pm.
