George Collins Obituary
George was a lifetime Lane County resident. He graduated with the Class of 1954 from Dighton High School. He started his working career at Mumma Feed Yard and Smith Locker before becoming a farmer. He later started Collins Steel and C & C Welding. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Dighton.
He is survived by his Son- Craig Allan & Beth Collins of Dighton, Granddaughter- Courtney Mae & Michael Dean McEachern of Scott City, 2 Great-Grandchildren- Maverick Mitchell McEachern & Mackenna Marie McEachern, Step-Daughter- Vera Coker of Dighton, Step-Son- LeRoy Coker of Bull Shoals, Arkansas and Sister-In-Law- Shirley Eaton of Dighton. He was preceded in death by his Parents, both wives, Sister- Agness Marie Smeltzer and Step-Daughter- Michelle Coker.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at First Christian Church in Dighton with Rev Jennifer Boeker officiating. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday and 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton.
