George Dilla Obituary
Georges's infectious smile, positive outlook, and loving heart will be greatly missed. George always made himself available to anyone that needed a friend, a listening ear, advice, or just a laugh. If you crossed paths with George, he had the ability to make your day with just a simple "hello" or his giant bear hugs. He had a special gift of bringing strangers together and helping them forge friendships. His generosity was unmatched, he was one of the most thoughtful, giving people you could ever meet.
Private viewing for immediate family is from 12-2pm, and will be live-streamed.
The viewing ceremony will be live-streamed to the reception hall starting at 12pm on Friday, January 11th. This is also where we will also hold our memorial services. Our memorial services will start once his family has finished at the viewing and can join us at the reception. This can be anywhere from 1pm to 2pm This will be at MAVFC Reception Hall located at 1008 Twin Arch Rd, Mt Airy, MD 21771. The dress code is casual, just dress how you normally would when you usually see George. Please RSVP and let me know if you plan to attend so I can get an estimated head count for the catering company.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his gofundme to cover his services, end-of-life expenses, and his celebration of life in April. Whatever we have left will be going into a trust for his sons. And I would love to try to start a 501(c) Non Profit Foundation in his Memory so his kindness and spirit can live on for years to come.
