George L. Drain Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on August 7, 2025, at the age of 69.

He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Suzanne, and his children: Brian Drain (Trisha), Matthew Drain (Sarah), and Nathan Drain. He is also survived by his two adopted daughters, Hailie Jordan and Amber Johnson; seven cherished grandchildren-Hunter, Easton, Gage, Avery, Peyton, George, and Ashton; and two treasured great-grandchildren.

From his earliest years, George lived with an unwavering devotion to sharing the Gospel. Over the course of his life, he served faithfully in many capacities-ministering as an assistant pastor in Midland, serving as a deacon, and working tirelessly as a dedicated layman in his church. He often reminded others, "Don't threaten me with Heaven," and ended many conversations with, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem," reflecting his deep love for God's Word and his constant anticipation of Christ's return. His life verse, James 4:17 (KJV) - "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin" - guided his steps and inspired his steadfast service to others.

George's professional journey was just as inspiring. He began his 47-year career with CWS Inc. on the loading dock as a forklift operator. Through hard work, determination, and a gift for solving problems, he rose through the company ranks-becoming General Manager, then Southern Regional Manager, and ultimately Vice President of Sales and Marketing. His work took him and Suzanne from Michigan to Virginia, Minnesota, Georgia, and Indiana, where he touched countless lives, built enduring relationships, and earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

George faced life head-on, meeting every challenge with faith, grit, and perseverance. From paying his and Suzanne's way through Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, to confronting diabetes, liver disease, cancer, and the loss of his leg, he trusted in God's plan for his life. To the world, he may not have stood out as a man above men, but to those who knew him, he was exactly that - a man of integrity, strength, and enduring hope. Always looking to the future, he poured his heart into training the next generation to succeed, both in life and in faith.

His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched, the seeds of faith he planted, and the example he set of a life wholly surrendered to Christ. "Each day given is just another day closer to Jesus."
