George Ebner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home - Woodhull on Feb. 5, 2025.
Obituary of George F. Ebner
It's with great sadness that I share the passing of my father, George F. Ebner, he left us on February 1st, 2025 at the age of 84. By his side was his "Angel" Virginia and myself (Tracy). It is George's hope to be reunited with his son, my brother, Gerald (Jerry) Ebner who left this earth at the age of 11 in 1986.
George graduated from Webster High School "class of 58", he wanted to thank you all for being there over the years. He was a proud Navy veteran and wanted to thank the Bath VA Medical Center for all they did.
George was a life member of the VFW, Post 6753, belonged to Canisteo American Legion, Post 846, Addison American Legion, Post, 730, AmVets Hornell, Post 245, Hornell Association and a 52-year Member of the Elks. He was a very social man and loved his "rip off" tickets.
He spent over 50 years roofing and siding and had his own business under his name. He thanks all the people he worked with and did work for. He loved the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Bills and loved traveling, especially his many trips to Florida.
George is survived by "the love he finally found" Virgina Ravenscroft, daughter, Tracy (Ebner) Hendrikx, grandsons Phoenix Ebner (Alexandra), Jarid Hendrikx and Stephen Crane. His sister Norrene McCall and Peaches and Fluffernutter, his dog and cat.
He wanted to "Thank you all that were different parts of his life for making it an interesting and full life." Per dad's request there will be no funeral service. He will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery in Troupsburg, NY next to his son. Military honors will be conducted there. "In the hearts of those that loved you, you will always be there."
If anyone would like to make a donation in George's memory it should be directed to the Bath VA Medical Center.
Arrangements are with the H.P. Smith and & Son Inc., Funeral Home in Woodhull NY.
