Career – United States Department of Agriculture (26 years) retiring in 2011
Both parents Goerge H. Eddings Sr & Ida Mae Brown; Siblings Willie Eddings, Tommie Bailey,
Clifford Bailey, Millie Lois Charles preceded him into eternity.
He leaves to continue his Christian legacy, his Wife of 50+ years, Mrs. Bertha Eaton-Eddings. Two
sons, George H. Eddings III and Denaus "D" Eddings (Quiana). Three grandchildren – Emma, Carter
and Myles (HE LOVED HIS GRANDBABIES VERY MUCH). One God child – Pastor Joshua Ward
(Tempest) & family. We want to show love and respect to Mr. Letro Simpson, Mrs. Roberta Williams
(Toni, Dana, Kim), the Mitchell Family and a host of family members. God blessed both sons to
graduate college (George III – Jarvis Christian College) & Denaus (Texas Southern University).
George was a lifelong resident of Dallas, TX. His mother moved to Dallas from Temple, TX when he
was two years old. George and Bertha both went to school to become travel agents. After retiring in
2011, he couldn't sit for too long. God blessed George and Bertha to travel many places around the
world on missionary trips (5 to West Africa) and on vacation. He worked as a tutor and substitute
teacher at the elementary and middle school level until his accident on Feb 7, 2019 which took
away his ability to be mobile. He loved helping people, especially young people.
He was a very active member of Rose of Sharon MBC until his accident. Serving on the deacon
board for 40+ years (holding multiple positions including Chairman). Due to his injury in 2019 and
the special care required, he lived in a rehab center for the past 5 years
