Obituary for George F. J. Estock III (1943-2025)

George F. J. Estock III, age 82, of Collegeville, and formerly of King Manor for over 40 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Morningside House of Collegeville. Born in Norristown, George was the beloved son of the late George Francis Estock Sr. and the late Theresa (nee Godri) Estock, the loving husband of the late Elizabeth A. (nee Saboe) Estock, and the cherished brother of the late Charlotte Bontempo (the late John). George was also the proud Uncle of his nieces, Georgia Miller, Andrea Welch and the late Charlene Gledhill, his nephews, David Ostroski, John Bontempo Jr., and Andrew Bontempo, as well as the cherished sisters-in-law of Mary Ostroski and the late Dorothy Millard. George is also survived by his dear friend, of the last 20 or so years, Gerri Vattimo.

Mr. Estock, a very religious man, was a life long member of Our Mother of Sorrows Church, where he sang in their choir up until it closed, and then became a devout member of Sacred Heart Church. He was the owner of over a dozen rough collies thru the years, and as an accomplished trainer of the breed, he trained some of his dogs to be therapy dogs. He won many awards at dog shows all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Maryland, and was featured in a Collie Magazine article! After he moved to Morningside House, he could be heard singing his favorite church hymns, Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art or be found exercising on a stationary bike in their fitness room. He was known as the Stationary Bicycle Champion of the Morningside community.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 502 Ford Street, Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, July 3, 2025, where friends may gather from 9:30 am until 10:20 am and his Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am. Interment, with military honors, will follow the Mass in St. Augustine Cemetery. The family would appreciate Memorial Donations to Therapy Dogs International, 88 Bartley Flanders Road B., Flanders NJ 07836, 973-252-9800, www.tdi-dog.org. Arrangements are by The Bernard S.
