Douglas L. Estock, 72, of Mount Joy, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Steven and Mary Estock of Mount Joy, and brother to the late Nancy Koser. Douglas is survived by his partner of over 20 years, Heather Schober; his son, Ryan Estock, and his wife and children, Stephanie, Evie, Owen, and Colton; and his daughter, Kelly Kessler, her husband, Brandon, and their son, Casper.

Douglas graduated from Donegal High School and went on to earn his Bachelors' degree from Elizabethtown College. He also earned a Masters' degree from York College of Pennsylvania. After beginning his career at St. Joseph's Hospital,

Douglas found his professional home at Physician Support Systems, where he started in sales and went on to lead the company as President for many years. He retired in 2021 after 30 years of dedicated service.

He was a man of wide-ranging interests and endless curiosity, someone who found joy in both the journey and the craft itself. An avid boater, he navigated waters from the Chesapeake Bay to the Caribbean. A lifelong skier, his love of the slopes carried him from Ski Sawmill in Pennsylvania to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. As a pilot, he took to the skies with the same confidence and wonder, flying everything from a Grumman Tiger to a fighter jet.

At home, his passions were just as rich. He was a skilled and generous cook, equally proud of a homemade chicken pot pie as he was of a perfectly prepared chicken marsala. In the garden, he found patience and satisfaction, nurturing everything from Ice Plants to prized Howard German tomatoes. Whatever the pursuit, he approached it with enthusiasm, precision, and a deep appreciation for doing things well.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers and to honor his love of fishing, donations can be made to the Slate Run Sportsmen ( slaterunsportsmen.com ).
