John Rapp, Jr., 70

John Rapp, Jr., 70, of Lancaster, passed away at his residence on January 31, 2026.

He was the husband of Lisa A. Rathkey Rapp, with whom he would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this coming May 23rd. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John, Sr. and Eleanor Deitz Rapp.

John had worked in many departments of the Armstrong Ceiling Plant in Marietta for 51 years, from right after his graduation from Donegal High School until his retirement in 2024.

He was a member of Grace Community Church of Willow Street.

John loved hunting and fishing, bowling and spending time with his family. He was very proud of and was constantly taking care of the pond he constructed at his home.

In addition to his wife, Lisa, he is survived by his sons, both of Millersville: John III married to Taneesha Rapp, and Chad married to Jessica Rapp; his grandchildren: Ellie, Lily, and Zachary. He is also survived by his siblings: Eleanor Ault, Sue Knight, and Mike Rapp. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Frederick.

Friends will be received by John's family on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 10-11AM at Grace Community Church of Willow Street, 212 Peach Bottom Rd., Willow Street, PA, with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM.
