Richard M. Estock

Richard M. Estock, age 88, of Millcreek passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Erie, on April 3, 1937, a son of the late Joseph T. and Ann M. (Lechefsky) Estock Sr.

Richard served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War, after his military service he was a branch manager with Security Peoples Bank. He owned and operated with his late wife Jeannine Insul-Board Inc. from 1978 until the present. He served on the Board of Incorporators for St. Vincent Hospital. Richard belonged to the Aviation Club, Maennerchor Club, Erie Club and Kahkwa Club. He loved spending his winters at his home in Anna Maria Island, FL.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife in 2003, Jeannine (Stossmeister) Estock; a brother, Joseph T. Estock Jr. and a nephew, Mark Estock.

Survivors include two sons, Richard M. Estock II and Thomas T. Estock; two sisters, Rita Newell, her husband Donald and Barbara Ryan, her husband Richard. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Ellen Hulings, Patricia Grehl, her husband Ronald, and Judith Stossmeister.

Friends are invited to call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St on Thursday and Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and are invited to a prayer there on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, 2500 W 12th St. Erie, PA 16505.

The Estock family would like to Thank all the Doctors and staff at AHN St. Vincent Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Richard. Also, a special Thank you to, Dr. Anthony Behm, DO, Dr. Jan Rothman, MD, and Dr. Orestis Pappas, MD, for providing extra ordinary care for the last few months.
