George passed away on April 12th, 2025George J. Esty, age 85, of Mahwah, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was an amazing husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, neighbor, and friend.
George enjoyed a successful 60+ year career in horticulture as a technical lawn care specialist. He loved being outdoors, digging in the dirt, and planting shrubs and flowers in his park-like yard. He was an avid newspaper reader and appreciated fine dining and great wines.
His cremation and burial service will be private. Donations can be made in George's honor to: Prostate Cancer Foundation 1250 Fourth St, Santa Monica, CA 90401 or at www.pcf.org.
