Sharon Thomas received her angel's wings on August 9, 2025. She was 70 years old.

Sharon was born on July 20, 1955 in Newark, NJ to the late Clarence Mitchell and Georgia

Thomas.

Sharon graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark, NJ and then attended Essex

County College.

Sharon worked for Eastern Benefits Medical Billing and Claims for 30 years and retired from

Insurance Design Administrators.

Sharon's pastimes included cooking, shopping with her coupons, family gatherings and most of all caring for her grandchildren.

Everyone who knew Sharon knew how much she loved them. She also loved to play cards, watch football, track and basketball.

Anyone who knew Sharon knew she loved her Kools cigarettes and Pepsi.

Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Curtis Thomas, son Shahn William Mitchell, brother Qadree "Bae" El-Amin, sisters-in-law Linda Burden, Evelyn Thomas, Marilyn Caldwell and Deborah Caldwell, brothers-in-law James Regan, Tony Caldwell and Oscar Caldwell, aunts Bessie Kornegay and Matty Byrd, grandchildren Shahn William Bingham and Shanyah Lanae Mitchell, great grandchildren Saadah Bingham, Saabir Bingham and Esan Velez, bonus sons Jaquiche Thomas and Kurtis Thomas, nieces Sienna El-Amin, Lisa R. Nelson and Tracey Nelson, nephews Haneef El-Amin, Qadree El-Amin, Jacob El-Amin and Shawn Nelson, and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Sharon will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
