George Leo Farek Jr.

George L Farek Jr. age 87 was born June 6, 1938 in Crockett Texas to the late Bessie and George Farek and departed this life on Monday, December 1, 2025. George attended Texas School for the Deaf in Austin Texas, where he pursued his trade skill with the operation of printing presses. He held several printing jobs through the years and took great pride in his work. He later bought his own press and opened a small printing business of his own as a side job and ultimately retired from Texas Foundries of Lufkin Tx, where he produced all their company printed materials.
George married his sweetheart, Sue Bridwell in 1966 and raised two children. For the next 58 years, they shared a long and thriving life together. Through the years George could be found tinkering on cars as pet projects and hobbies of all kinds, he loved to build things and figure out how they worked. He enjoyed visiting friends and family and traveling to see new places. After he retired and moved to his parent's farm in Crockett, you could find him continuing to seek out home projects and enjoyed gardening.
George was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sue, son Edwin Farek, sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Steve Strban. He is survived by his daughter, Eva Brandenburg and husband William of Maypearl; grandchildren, Kyle Willis and wife Sommer of Huntington, Dylon Farek of Crockett; great grandchildren, Paetyn, Cora and Lyncoln Willis of Huntington; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Graveside services for George Leo Farek (Junior) will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Rice Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
