George S. Ferry Jr.

WAREHAM – George S. Ferry, Jr., 80, of Wareham, passed away on Sept. 5, 2025, at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. He was the husband of Margaret V. (Silvia) Ferry and the son of the late Geroge S. Ferry, Sr. and Clara (Henry) Ferry.

He was born in Wareham and lived there all his life. He graduated from Wareham High School.

Mr. Ferry worked in the construction field for many years before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret V. (Silvia) Ferry; his children, George S. Ferry, III of Marion, Nicole Ferry of Wareham, Brett Barros of Plymouth, and Christian Barros of Carver; 6 cousins, Cindy, Rory, Renee, Valerie, Lolita and Valente; 8 grandchildren, Valentino, Ryan, Stevy, Stoney, Jessica, Miranda, Brett, and Lucas; 13 great grandchildren, Jordan, August, Carter, Addison, Ryan, Vincent, Hendrix, Ronin, Carter, Troy, Myles, Caleb, and Emmarose;his best friend, Lee "Bobo" Pina of Wareham; many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late Laverne Bowman, Dana Ferry, and Rene Gomes and the nephew of the late Stella Silva and Juanita Perry and cousin of the late Debbie, Sugar, Skeeter and Ashley.

Visiting hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations- WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
