His hobbies reflected his creativity and curiosity-he built intricate model bridges, had a passion for travel, enjoyed all things cinema, appreciated all genres of music, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good meal. He especially loved going out to eat with family and friends.

George was devoted to his Catholic faith and lived it through service. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and assisted with the school's aftercare program. He also crafted rosaries, reflecting his quiet devotion and desire to share faith with others and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
