Eddie was born in 1937 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Alva and Alice Grim. He was a graduate of Handley High School, Class of 1957, where he was a hero, once scoring 50 points in one basketball game, a record that stands to this day. For his 4 year high school career in basketball he amassed 1556 points, a record that still holds up. Upon graduation Eddie went on to play for the House of David and he was signed by them, playing for 5 years. He started his working career working for Food Fair then Grand Union. When Grand Union closed, Eddie went on to become a Deputy for Frederick County Sherriff's Office.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Judy Ann, whom he married on May 9, 1992; his sons, Patrick Grim (Pam) and Michael Grim and 5 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held for Eddie on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Eddie to Handley Judges Athletic Association at judgesathleticassociation.com.
