George Harold Hamblin

George Harold Hamblin, age 70, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 20, 1952, to the late Minor Hamblin and Daisy Mae (Prater) Hamblin. He served in the United States Army. He worked for CSX Railroad as a laborer and truck driver. George is preceded in death by his parents, Minor and Daisy Mae Hamblin; and sisters, Brenda Alderidge and Ollie Mae Trotter. He is survived by his wife, Cathy (Mason) Hamblin; sons, Joshua Hamblin (Michelle), Kevin Baggett (Alnita), and Terry Baggett; daughter, Michelle Bowden (Danny); brother, Elvis Hamblin; sisters, Geneva Sissom and Sherry Davis (Joseph); grandchildren, Jimmy Baggett, Kristen Bowden, Destiny Bowden, Danny Bowden, Jr., and Ashley Hamblin; and great grandchildren, Addison, McKinley, Faith, Mercedes, Payton, Marshall, Jazzy, Xavier, William, Marcus, and Maya. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Eric Brown officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 10am to 6pm and Wednesday, October 11, 2023, from 10am until the hour of service at 1pm.
