George Dayton Hammock, 82, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026. George was born in Snowflake, Arizona, the son of John and Laree Hammock. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Judith Hammock, who passed away in 2020; his parents, Dayton and Laree Hammock; his son, Bradley Hammock; two sisters, Dora Diamond and Shirley Roney and three brothers, Darrell, Robert and Denis Hammock.

He moved to Kissimmee in 2018 from Umatilla, Florida. George worked as a dedicated truck driver and was a proud member of the Million Mile Club with Mayflower Trucking Company. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, where he found purpose and community.

George is survived by his children, Christopher Hammock and his wife, Michelle of Kissimmee, Florida, Michael Dayton Hammock and his wife, Jennifer of Riverton, Wyoming, Deborah Jean Stevens and her wife, Carmen of Billerica, Massachusetts; his sisters, Donna LeMay and her husband, Richard of Canyon City, Colorado and Sandra Hammock of Graham, Oklahoma

George leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy.
