George Hansen Obituary

George was dedicated to his career in sales and marketing, where his warmth, perseverance, and genuine connection with people left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. George was an avid bowler, bowling for many years in leagues at Merrimack Ten Pin. He loved working and being around old cars, restoring them, and attending car shows. He loved his vacations and fishing on the lake in Maine, gardening, and taking the grandkids to Marvel movies.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Maryann (Lee) Hansen. His son, Michael Hansen, and wife, Linda, of Bow, NH. His daughter, Kristen (Hansen) Sweet, and husband Marc of Londonderry, NH. Grandchildren, Noah & Hope Hansen, Michael & Kelsey Sweet, and his sister Dana (Hansen) and husband John Reinboldt of Stafford, VA. George also leaves behind nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, all of whom will carry forward his love and laughter. He will be dearly missed.
After cremation, a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm at Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A Catholic prayer service will be held at 6 pm in the funeral home. George was very devout in his faith, particularly his daily devotion to St. Jude’s. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
