Kyle MacLaren Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peabody Funeral Home - Londonderry on Mar. 9, 2026.
Kyle Thomas MacLaren, 34, of Londonderry NH, passed away Tuesday March 3, 2026, of natural causes. He was born on June 2, 1991, a son of Ronald and Donna (McPherson) MacLaren.
Kyle, the youngest of five children, spent his childhood in Londonderry and graduated from LHS in 2009. From an early age, Kyle was curious about how things worked and loved to tinker, often taking things apart just to understand them better. That curiosity eventually turned into a passion for aviation, where he became a licensed helicopter pilot and aviation mechanic.
Kyle had a deep love for the outdoors and he could often be found enjoying time at the family lake house swimming, fishing and hunting. This love, and his sense of adventure, prompted him to explore new places and travel far from home. Whether he was gold mining in Alaska with his dad, or diving in Thailand with his brother, he embraced life fully and his experiences reflected his fearless spirit and curiosity about the world.
An athlete at heart, Kyle proudly described himself as a 'locked down defender' on the basketball court and could always be counted on to bring his A game. He carried that same competitive spirit into many parts of his life and was also known to jokingly self certify that he was the 'best at everything'.
Kyle was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He was a devoted uncle who made it a priority to attend his nieces' and nephews' special events and celebrations, connecting with each of them deeply. He was also known as a thoughtful and generous gift giver, always putting care into finding just the right thing for the people in his life.
Passionate and opinionated, Kyle loved a good discussion or debate. Conversations with him were rarely dull. Beneath his strong opinions was a loving heart and deep loyalty to his family and friends.
In quieter moments, Kyle enjoyed sci-fi and fantasy stories and gaming, finding inspiration in worlds of imagination and adventure.
Like many families, ours faced the painful challenges of addiction. Kyle struggled for years with alcohol dependence, a disease that ultimately led to severe cirrhosis of the liver. Though the weight of this illness became more than he could overcome, we remember him not for the struggle, but for the loving, vibrant person he was.
Kyle will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his sharp mind, his loyalty and the love he shared with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
In addition to his parents Ron and Donna, Kyle is also survived by two brothers, Ron MacLaren Jr and Andrew MacLaren; two sisters, Kristen Childs and husband Andy and Courtney Giuliano and husband Jeff; seven nieces, Ella, Lux, Vivienne, Zoe, Everlee, Blaise, Lenox and two nephews Asher, and Cru. As well many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family.
