Justin Stone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peabody Funeral Home - Londonderry on Mar. 10, 2026.
Justin E. Stone, lovingly known as "Jay", passed away on Monday March 9, 2026 after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side. He was born on August 22, 1962 in Beverly, MA, and has lived in Londonderry, NH for the past 31 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne (Lajoie) Stone; his son, Nicholas Stone; four daughters, Jennifer Stone, Molly and husband Samuel Hinz, Julia Stone, and Grace Stone. Known as "Grandpa Jay" to his one grandaughter, Lucy Hinz, who brought him immense pride and joy. We will make sure to share all of his stories with her. He is also survived by his loving in-laws, Jerry and Peggy Lajoie; as well extended family.

Jay will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and his ability to easily become friends with anyone he met. Most of all, he was dedicated to taking care of, spending time with, and loving his family.

Jay loved going to concerts, sporting events, hanging by the pool, playing softball with friends, listening to music (especially The Eagles), and traveling. A beachy destination was his favorite; long drives, lighthouses and history tours were always on the itinerary. It was important to him that the whole family always did things together. Lastly, he enjoyed driving his dream car, BMW Z3, with his wife, "Blondie" by his side. Jay and Lynne would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this November.

Jay was a great husband and father who had the biggest heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday, March 13th from 5 - 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
