George Oren Harden

George Oren Harden, 81, of Folkston, GA passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 19, 2022. He was born in Folkston, GA on December 15, 1940 to the late Oren Frederick Harden and Cleo Smith Harden. He retired from the Charlton County Board of Education after 35 years of being a bus driver. He was also a barber in Folkston for 55 years. He was a member of the Folkston Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers; Charlie Earl Harden and Carlton Lamar Harden.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years; Faye H. Harden, daughters; Devon Harden and Twylia Harden, Daughters-in-love; Betty Phillips, Caiti Rhoden and Glenda Proctor, Grandchildren-in-love; Tony Pafford, Jr., Hank Pafford, Hannah Chancey, Donovan Chancey, Donna Chancey and Sophia Cribb, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at Folkston Church of God. A service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Folkston Church of God with Bro. Rob Gillis and Bro. Bobby Tatum officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Proctor, Hank Pafford, Kyle Chancey, Art Cribb, Arliss Carter and Luke Williams.
