George Duane Hauer

George Duane Hauer, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Martha; children, Duane (Kathi), Brenda, Lance (Sylvia); grandsons, Randy, Ryan, Dalton (Samantha), Brandon (Ashley), and Justin; great-grandchildren, Logan, Emma, and Lillian; sister, Donna Bingen; brothers, Raymond (Erika) and Gary; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. George is preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Ann; and parents, Raymond and Ethel Hauer. 

George was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 10, 1944. He grew up in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota attended school in South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. He served in the United States Army. He married Martha Sauerbrey on January 22, 1966 in Hastings, Minnesota. He worked for Bob Carter Ford in Inver Grove Heights until he was hired at Onan Corp in Fridley, Minnesota. He worked for Onan for 23 years before his job was eliminated. He then went on to work for several sporting goods stores before retiring from the Outpost in Hudson, Wisconsin October 2006. 

George loved fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He was a licensed gun dealer for many years and enjoyed going to gun shows on weekends. 

Funeral Service 11:30 AM with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, Friday, March 8, 2024 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 1000 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, Minnesota 55071. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in South St. Paul, Minnesota.
