George H. Hippert December 3, 1950 – December 25, 2024
George H. Hippert, 74, of Exton, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Chester County Hospital/Penn Medicine, West Chester PA.
Born on December 3, 1950, in Reading, Pennsylvania, George was the beloved son of the late Hayden M. and Violet E. (Widner) Hippert. A proud 1968 graduate of Eastern Lebanon County High School, George pursued his passion as a cosmetologist, dedicating over 50 years to making others feel beautiful, inside and out. Beyond his work behind the chair, George was also an educator, sharing his vast knowledge of cosmetology with aspiring professionals and inspiring many to follow in his footsteps.
For George, his work was more than a career-it was about building relationships. His clients became lifelong friends, with many of these bonds lasting more than 35 years. He was so loved by clients that when he left the City to work in the suburbs, several of his clients made the drive to his new location for his expertise and humor. George's dedication to his craft and genuine care for people left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A vibrant soul, George lit up every room he entered. Whether enjoying a night at the theater, swaying to the beats of disco music with a martini in hand, or sharing his infectious laugh, George brought joy and warmth to everyone around him. He was a true friend-a constant source of support, kindness, and understanding.
A highlight of George's year when he lived in Center City Philadelphia, was his elaborate New Year's Day celebration during the Mummers Parade. Known for his Pennsylvania Dutch Pork and Sauerkraut, he proudly declared it the only day of the year he cooked and made sure everyone enjoyed it to the fullest. His home became a lively gathering place, welcoming 50 to 70 friends throughout the day, before, during, and after the parade. George's hosting was as warm and spirited as the tradition itself, creating cherished memories for all who attended.
George also loved to travel and vacation in warm, sunny destinations like Florida, Mexico, Aruba and more with his friends. These getaways were filled with laughter, relaxation, and his signature zest for life, leaving behind treasured memories for all who accompanied him.
He leaves behind a close-knit circle of dear friends and coworkers who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
A celebration of George's remarkable life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
