George Bennett Howell, 75, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 in Northampton County, NC. Mr. Howell was born on November 8th, 1949, the son of late Rufus Howell and Georgine Matthews. He was also preceded in death by his son Ralph Howell, and two brothers James Howell and Marvin Howell.

Mr. Howell was a member of Galatia Baptist Church in Margarettsville, NC. With Galatia Baptist he went on several mission trips. Including ones to western NC after hurricane Helene's devastation, and to Texas after the tragic flooding they experienced. He was also an outdoorsman who loved to deer hunt with his dogs, and two sons Eric and Tylor. He enjoyed spending time in his barn working on various tasks as his family and friends knew him well for being an extremely hard worker.

He is survived by his wife Rema Howell; his sons Tylor Dunlow, Eric Dunlow, Charlie Dunlow (Lisa), Mike Dunlow (Ashely), Steven Howell, John Howell (Wendy); his daughters Shama Lee, Mary Lowe, Tammy Dunlow, Lisa Dunlow; his brothers Ricky Howell (Yvonne), Andy Ray Howell, Joey Howell; his sisters Paulet Howell and Virgina Howell; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Donations may be made to Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service to assist the family during this time.

A celebration of life will be held at his home on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:00PM. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com. Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service is serving the Howell family.
