George Cloyd Jackman October 25, 1956-January 2, 2025
George Jackman, 68, passed away surrounded by his family on January 2, 2025 in Murray Utah.
He was born on October 25, 1956 in Payson Utah to Arley and Marie Jackman and was the 4th child of 6.
At a very young age he became a father to Tena but was never married. He married Cindie Gafa on July 12, 1974. They had 3 children and later divorced. He married Carole Joseph Nielson on November 11, 1988 and she had 4 children of her own.
He was a coal miner and a long haul truck driver. He loved traveling coast to coast. Hauling rocket engines from Salt Lake to Cape Canaveral was his favorite job. He had a love for camping and fishing and being with his friends and family. He almost always had a smile on his face and a laugh to go along with it, He suffered an accident in 2005 that made doing all the things he loved a major challenge. He then became so good at taking care of those he loved. He was always caring for others. Taking them to appointments, working in their yards, and the whole time making sure Carole was okay. He loved her so very much.
He is survived by his wife Carole Jackman; children, Tena Gardner, Heidi (Hans) Rasmussen; Jessica (Ryan) Weitz; Cody Jackman (Adrian Hamilton); Lisa (Gary) Van Wagenen; Rachelle (Ed) Bowers; Rodney Nielson; Tina (Jason) Garland; 16 Grand children and 10 (1 on the way) Great Grand Children.
