A Bardstown resident, Mr. George Leslie Keeling, age 76 passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Signature Healthcare of Spencer County in Taylorsville. Leslie was born January 22, 1949, in Bardstown to the late Leland Cowell and Katherine White Keeling. He worked in manufacturing at Bird & Son. Leslie loved metal detecting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Keeling. He is survived by his wife Valarie Brown Keeling, a daughter, Melanie Keeling-Alvey of Vine Grove, a son, Ben (Cristin) Keeling of Richmond, two sisters, Pam Talbott and Susan (Ernie) Hill both of Bardstown, two brothers Eddie (Sue) Keeling of Florida and Donald (Krista) Keeling of Ohio, five grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. George Leslie Keeling will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 11, 2025, at The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Bro. Todd Davis will officiate. Interment will be in the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Additional visitation will be at the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
