George H. Kelloway

BEVERLY - George H. Kelloway, 93, of Beverly, formerly of Wakefield & Lynnfield, passed away Monday morning, May 13, 2024 at Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Beverly. He was the husband of the late Joan (Dycyan) Kelloway. Born in Winchester, he was the son of the late Ernest and Hilda Rose (Doiron) Kelloway. George was educated in the Wakefield/Lynnfield areas and graduated from Wakefield High School. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean War as a proud member of the United States Navy.
Mr. Kelloway was an accomplished entrepreneur for many years. He was the owner of Cornwell Tools in Lynnfield and was well known around town as the "Tool Man". George was also the owner of Novelty Corner in Wakefield and ran a successful carpentry business locally. Later in life, he would be known as the candle incense man at flea markets. George was an avid and talented golfer for many years as well.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Kelloway and his wife Cindy of Beverly and Doug Kelloway of Port Richie, FL; two grandchildren, Doug Kelloway and Karen Schepman and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters-in-law, Rosemary Kelloway and Alicia Kelloway.
His funeral service will be at Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Wednesday, May 22nd, at 12:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.
