George M. Kohan, Sr.

George M. Kohan, Sr., age 82, of Kennedy Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.  Beloved husband of 58years to Annette (Sorokas) Kohan.  Loving father of Chris (Melanie) Kohan, Tricia Gaudoin, and the late George M. Kohan, Jr; cherished "Poppy" of Reilly, Zoe, Ellie, Christopher and George II; brother of Bernadette (Herb) Hartle, the late Joan (Al) Zombeck, and Loretta (Cy) Yaggi; brother-in-law of Rosalyn (Tom) Sauer and Andy (the late Pat) Sorokas;  also survived by many nieces and nephews.  George was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan, loved cars and cutting his grass on his tractor.  He was also fixer of all things,   His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.  Relatives and friends received Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 1-8 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township), PA 15108.  Funeral prayer Wednesday 9:15AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at  10 AM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St Malachy Church, 343 Forest Grove Road , Kennedy Township.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to The American Heart Association, P.O.
