Catherine Hahn

Catherine Hahn (nee Dolgos), age 93, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by the love of her three children and family.

Born in 1932 on Neville Island near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Catherine was a woman of intellect, dedication, and deep faith. She graduated as Valedictorian of her class at Robinson High School, a testament to the sharp mind she maintained throughout her long life. Catherine's work ethic was evidenced by her over 50 years of service at the Lincoln Electric Company all while raising an active family.

In 1953, Catherine married the love of her life, Roger Hahn. They shared 40 beautiful years of marriage until his passing in 1993. A woman of steadfast faith, Catherine was a charter member of St. Malachy Parish, where she remained active for many years.

Catherine's interests included being an active engaged reader and maintaining lifelong friendships with Sterling Drive neighbors, Robinson High classmates, fellow parishioners and former work colleagues among others. She also enjoyed adventure travel, particularly her trips with immediate and extended family.

Her true masterpiece, however, was her family. She doted on her grandchildren, whom she loved entertaining and feeding, finding her greatest joy in their presence. She is survived by her three children: Roger Hahn (wife Marcy), Susan Russo (husband Joe), and Daniel Hahn (wife Gloria); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Catherine Dolgos, and her brother Skip Dolgos, and is survived by her two sisters Norine Matteson and Mary Lou Moore.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff, especially Juandell, Miyuke, and Karen, at The Bradford in Texas for their exceptional care, kindness, and support over the last couple of years. Also, special gratitude to her Sterling Drive neighbors, Patty, Dave, Andrea, John, and Irma for all their extraordinary help and support over the years. Catherine returns home to Pittsburgh to be reunited with her beloved Roger.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 16, 2026, at 10 AM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church, 343 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Township.
