George Russell Lambeth, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, in Albany, Oregon. Born on October 24, 1941, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, George was a selfless and spirited individual who touched the lives of many.
George is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Martha Lambeth; his children, Robert (Michelle) Lambeth and Darren (Laura) Lambeth; his grandchildren, Cecily "CcCe" and Tyler; and his siblings, ConnieLane, Tony Lambeth, and Pat Lambeth. George's family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Growing up in Ardmore, Oklahoma, George learned the value of hard work at a young age, helping his family make ends meet. His strong work ethic led him to a job at Piggly Wiggly, where he diligently served customers and earned the respect of his colleagues. George later transitioned to Safeway, where he continued to demonstrate his dedication to his work until he medically retired. His commitment to his family and his work was truly inspiring.
George had a passion for collecting and restoring old metal cars, a hobby that allowed him to connect with fellow enthusiasts and preserve a piece of automotive history. His love for woodworking and gardening was evident in the beautiful pieces he crafted and the vibrant gardens he cultivated. George's interests also extended to collecting stamps, building ship and train models, and fishing. His diverse hobbies showcased his creativity and his appreciation for the beauty in the world around him.
As a loving and selfless individual, George always put the needs of others before his own. He was known for his spirited personality, which brought joy and laughter to those who knew him. His generosity and kindness will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
