WORCESTER/PAXTON – George C. Lamotte, Jr., 73, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after an illness. He was born in Holden, the son of George C., Sr., and Helyn (Austercolin) Lamotte and grew up in Paxton. Gidge lived and raised his family in Worcester.
He leaves his loving wife of 48 years, Lynne M. (Murphy) Lamotte; his son, Gregory Lamotte of Worcester; his daughters, Kimberlee Genduso and her husband, Joseph of Virginia and Nicole S. Wickes and her husband, James of Oakham; four grandchildren, Jillian, Alexis, Liam, and Colin; his brothers, Jeffrey Lamotte of Tampa, FL and Mark Lamotte of Clearwater, FL; his sisters, Karen Wylie of Ridgefield, CT and Diane Riopel of Charlton; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Lamotte.
George graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and worked as a Master Electrician. Starting his career at his family's company J.G. Lamotte & Son. He was self-employed for many years before retiring. Lynne was the love of his life, and his family always came first. He spent many years coaching his daughters in softball. He also enjoyed many afternoons fishing with his son. But his most loved and cherished job was being a grandfather to Jillian, Alexis. Liam, and Colin. The four of them were his favorite people in the world.
There will be no services at this time. In accordance with George's wishes his family will be planning a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association (www.heart.org). To share a memory or offer an online condolence, please visit our "Tribute Wall"
