George W. Lanmon, born on September 17, 1939, passed away on January 27, 2026. He was known for his career as a mechanic and had a passion for restoring cars. George enjoyed going to car shows where he could share his love for automobiles with fellow enthusiasts. In his younger days, he also loved to water ski, making memories out on the water.
George is survived by his son Robert Lanmon, daughter Tammy Anderson, brother Marvin Lanmon Jr., sister Betty Littles, grandchildren Kyle Lanmon and his wife Jessica, Daniel Anderson and his wife Laurie, Ashley Anderson, and four great-grandchildren, Ava Lanmon, Hannah Lanmon, Wes Lanmon, and Nora Lanmon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 2, 2026 at Clifton Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Clifton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00-11:00 A.M.)
George W. Lanmon will be remembered by all who knew him for his friendly spirit and his love for family and cars.
