George A. Lantz, 88, of Milford, IN passed away at 8:13 p.m. on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Mason Health & Rehab in Warsaw, IN. He was born on April 26, 1930 in Millersburg, IN to Guy A. & Mina M. (Willard) Lantz.
He attended New Paris High School, was a United States Army veteran, and was married on June 4, 1950 in Goshen, IN to Shirley A. Breniser who preceded him on November 28, 2000. He was a self-employed bricklayer, lived in Elkhart County until 1957, and then moved to Milford from Dunlap, IN.
He formerly attended Warsaw Missionary Church.
He is survived by:
2 Daughters- Robyn (Dave) Severance of Mishawaka & Pamela (Brad) Eldridge of Mishawaka
1 Son - Michael Lantz of Milford
7 Grand & 9 Gt. Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter – Debra Lantz, 4 sisters- Helen Whitehead, Lucille Sherman, Mildred Coy, and Lois Stouder, and brother- Donald Lantz.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will follow in the Milford Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be given to the Great Lakes Hospice, 334 Enterprise Dr., Warsaw, IN 46580.
