George Edward Lingerfelt

Mr. George Edward Lingerfelt, 75, of Burke County, passed away on Friday April 30, 2021 at Mission Hospital, Asheville, after a period of declining health. Mr. Lingerfelt was born February 17, 1946 in Burke County, a son of the late George Henry and Cora Mae Stilwell Lingerfelt. He retired as a machine operator with the furniture industry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamera Shephard, three brothers, Glenn Cotton Lingerfelt, Clifford Lingerfelt, Ray Stilwell and a sister, Barbara Johnson. Surviving are his daughter, Michelle Lee Lingerfelt of Connelly Springs, a son Eric Lingerfelt of Galax, VA, two sisters, Louise Hyatt and Mildred Ervin. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday May 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese.
