George W. Lott, age 88, of Painted Post, New York passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 4, 1934 in Van Etten, New York the son of the late Owen and Beatrice (Dickerson) Lott. George was a graduate of General Motors Institute of Technology. He married the love of his life, Elnora Smith on August 23, 1953. He was employed by Jones Pontiac, Jones Truck and Bus Parts. George finishes his career in automotive and trucks with Regional International in Rochester and Geneva. George made a habit of creating lasting relationships with his customers.
George will be remembered for love for his family, fishing and camping. His sons and him were lifelong member of the Corning and Addison Fish and Game Club. George and his son William were registered referees for the National Skeet Shoot in San Antonio, Texas. George and Elnora enjoyed twenty years at Avon Park in Florida.
George is survived by his spouse, Elnora Lott of sixty nine years; children: Doreen (Lem) Lowry, and Randy (Joyce) Lott; grandchildren: Christopher, Matthew, Steffanie, Heidi, Caylynn Lott, Brandon, Nathan and Jared Lowry; nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his parents and his son, William Lott; brothers: Roy and Andrew Lott.
A Celebration of Life for George will take place at a later date at Corning Seventh Day-Adventist Church. Carpenter's Funeral Home, Corning, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
