George J. Lucchetti

George J. Lucchetti, 86, of Plainville passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the son of the late Maria DiPalma and Eleuterio Lucchetti. He was the devoted husband of Jean Pasquantonio.

George and Jean were together for over 40 years. He was born in Attleboro MA in 1938 and resided in North Attleboro until moving to Plainville in 1987. He was educated at St. Mary's School in North Attleboro and enlisted in the Yankee Division of the National Guard as a young man. He was employed by the North Attleboro Gas Company for 40 years before retiring in 1998.

George was a man who loved his life. He enjoyed cooking, being outside and working in his yard, and staying in daily contact with his family and friends. He traveled to Italy on vacation and to visit with family in Pisa.

In addition to his wife, Jean, George is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Mallon of North Attleboro, his two sons, Mark Lucchetti and wife Cara Conaty of Rhode Island and Michael Lucchetti and wife Wendy of Florida, and his daughter-in-law, Claire Lucchetti of North Attleboro. He also leaves his grandchildren, Alexandria Mallon and partner Kevin Fitzgerald of New Hampshire, Arthur Mallon and wife Kelsey of Millville, Isabella Lucchetti of North Attleboro, Matthew Lucchetti of Rhode Island and Zachary Lucchetti of Florida as well as four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Scott Lucchetti, his brother Rocco Lucchetti and his wife Kathleen Hamm Lucchetti.

A private funeral service was held and George was laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery & Arboretum in Attleboro Falls.
