Beloved husband of Donna for 42 wonderful years. Cherished father of Valeri (William M.) Bohannon, David (Johna Taormina) Mamer, Lisa (Scott) Pletz and Laura (Scott) Halahan. Adored grandfather of William A. (Miranda) Bohannon, Bradley Bohannon, Jack (Noelle) Bohannon, Alexis Katanski, Morgan Bohannon, Danielle Bohannon, Michael Katanski and Lilli Halahan. Proud great-grandfather of William J. Bohannon. Dear brother of Cheryl (Kevin) Osmun. Loving son of the late George and the late Margaret.
George was born in Detroit, MI to George and Margaret Mamer. He graduated from Wayne State University. In his free time George loved fishing, channel surfing with a good nap, Saturday night tacos and watching the Detroit Lions play. George was a man of routine and loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.
Visitation Sunday from 3-9pm with funeral service 7:00pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Please share memories with the family at their online guestbook @ WujekCalcaterra.com.
