George Marshall

George Marshall, age 78, of Chuckey, passed away September 11, 2025 at Durham Hensley Health and Rehab.

He was the son of the late Robert and Jessie Marshall.

He is survived by 2 Daughters Michele & Chris Corbin of Townsend and Molly Haynes of Ooltewah, TN; 2 Sons: Robert & Candy Marshall of Chuckey and John & Cari Marshall of Greeneville; Grandchildren: Amber & Blake Yeargin, Kolby Haynes, Marshall Haynes, Sydney Marshall, Isaac Marshall, Kennedy Marshall; Great Grandchildren: Wade Yeargin, Emmitt Yeargin, Azade Haynes, and Sophrona Gregory; 1 Brother: Michael Marshall; Mother of his children: Barbara Carter.

Preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Mark Marshall and Miles Marshall.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Saprina Fender FNP, Dr. Beth Bulawa, Dr. Anil Tumkur and staff at Tennessee Cancer Specialist, and all other medical staff, caretakers, hospice staff and nursing home staff for their care for George.

George played softball locally for many years and also enjoyed watching the Vols and Lady Vols. He loved to go fishing and was a Godly man.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 12-2 PM at Mt Zion Church at Afton. A memorial service will follow visitation at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Rev. Sara Varnell and Rev. Glenn Cox will officiate.
