GEORGE MCCULLOUGH
Westminster – George Pierce McCullough, 88, loving husband of Mary Ellen Matthews McCullough, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Lila Doyle Post Acute.
Born on May 21, 1937, in Miami, Florida, George was the son of the late Ernest and Florence Helen Pope McCullough. George dedicated his life to service in many forms. As a firefighter for the City of Miami, he committed countless hours to protecting the lives and property of those in his community. Outside of his professional life, George was a devoted member of Westminster Baptist Church. Before his years as a firefighter, George proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen Matthews McCullough; sons, Michael Scott McCullough (Keisha), Todd Pierce McCullough (Willett), Samuel Leon Septembre; daughters, Katharine Virginia Wilson (Paul), Danielle Kristin Septembre; grandchildren, Kayla Robison (Steve), Dayna Abbett (Jackson), Jarod McCullough, Cassia McCullough,Diesel McCullough, Hadley Septembre, Grayson Septembre; and 1 great-granddaughter, Alora Brown.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Edwards McCullough.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
