George W. McDaniel, II, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2025, at the age of 55. He was born on November 14, 1969, in Fort Rucker, Alabama, and was a proud graduate of Dover High School in Dover, Delaware.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney “Mick” McDaniel and Patricia “Pat” (Thompson) McDaniel; his maternal grandparents, Ellen “Maxine” and William “Lemoyne” Thompson; and his paternal grandparents, George W. and Kathryn J. McDaniel.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Beth McDaniel; his children, Matt (Kristin) McDaniel and Nicole McDaniel; his stepson, Nick Westmoreland; and his cherished grandchildren, Brayson, Adalynn, and Alice. He also leaves behind his sister, Misty (Jamie) Burke; brothers, Chris McDaniel (Christie Tibbetts) and Del McDaniel; his Uncle Gary (Jeri) Thompson; Aunts Jorja McDaniel, Susie McDaniel, Marsha (McDaniel) Latchic; and his special Aunt, Carol Thompson, and loving mother-in-law, Ola Phillips, along with many friends and extended family who loved him dearly.
George was a proud owner-operator truck driver with Service Transport, where he was admired for his skill, integrity, and dedication to the open road. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life — fishing, shooting, grilling, and spending time outdoors with those he loved most. George will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his warm heart, and the way he could make everyone feel like a friend.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, with Pastor Josh Bevan of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Xenia, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in George’s memory.
George’s life was one of love, devotion, and perseverance, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
