George Alexander Miller, affectionately known as "Boodie," peacefully entered eternal rest on August 14, 2025. Born December 22, 1944, in Salisbury, North Carolina, George was the beloved son of the late George Washington Miller and Bertha Mae Cherry Miller Burno.

A devoted man of faith, George was a lifelong and loyal member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, NC, where he served faithfully as a Deacon, Elder, President of the Men's Choir, and Usher. His dedication to God and his church community was unwavering, and his life was a reflection of service, strength, and humility.

George received his early education in the Rowan County Public Schools and went on to attend Livingstone College, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Health in May 1976. Through his work, he mentored and inspired generations of young people with firm guidance and genuine care.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years during the Vietnam era. During his service, he earned multiple honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Sharpshooter (M-14) distinction.

On August 4, 1994, George was united in holy matrimony to Shelia Brown Miller, and together they shared a loving and devoted partnership that spanned 31 years. Their life together was marked by deep respect, enduring love, and mutual support.
