George Eugene Mullinix, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and companion, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born on September 18, 1957, in Montgomery County, Maryland to the late George Boirer Mullinix and the late Mabel Dodson Mullinix.
George dedicated much of his life to his career in construction, where he was known for his exceptional skills as a carpenter. His hard work and craftsmanship were matched only by his vibrant personality. He was a true storyteller and comedian, always eager to entertain those around him with amusing tales and heartfelt anecdotes. George was a people person, effortlessly making connections and building relationships throughout his life.
His service to his country as a United States Marine Veteran exemplified his strength and dedication, qualities that were evident in all facets of his life.
George found joy in many pursuits, particularly as an avid sportsman. He embraced his love of baseball, softball, hunting, golfing, rabbit hunting, and fishing. He was also an active shooter and a member of guns clubs and participated in shooting tournaments. These hobbies brought him not only happiness but also cherished memories with family and friends. George was also active in coaching youth athletics.
George is survived by his children, Chad Mullinix of Scottsburg and Nikki Nell Blount (Bobby Blount) of Mt. Laurel, and three grandsons, Derek, Cameron, and Ty, who will carry on his legacy. He will also be remembered fondly by Vickie Nell, his devoted companion of 37 years from Clover, as well as his brother, Claude Mullinix of Harrisburg, PA. He is further survived by two nephews, Joey and Robert Mullinix of Harrisburg, PA.
