George Murphy

George Murphy passed away December 6, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He loved the beach, fishing, and the outdoors.

Creative by nature, George expressed himself through his work and everyday life. He founded Green With Envy Landscaping Inc. with a single pickup truck and grew it into a successful and respected business that is now proudly carried forward by his two sons. He had a special eye for the natural world - finding rare shells, spotting birds and wildlife, even finding lost pets in the Pine Barrens.

George was born on June 29th, 1957 at Monmouth Medical. He approached life with kindness, humor, and stubborn optimism that carried him through many adventures, including surviving a tsunami in Costa Rica that capsized his fishing charter, a story he would later tell with a grin.

Above all, he loved his family. He leaves behind his wife of forty seven years and high school sweetheart, Anne, and their three children - Tara, Evan, and Tommy.

George was known for his good character, strong work ethic, and sense of humor. He lived fully, worked with pride, and made the world more beautiful with the landscape designs he made and the relationships he made along the way. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, including many beloved pets.
