George F. Nalan Sr.

George F. Nalan, Sr., 84, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. Born March 13, 1941, in Madison, WI, the son of Harvey E. and Isabelle (Wallace) Nalan, Sr. Graduate of South Beloit High School. George married Judie on February 14, 1976. She predeceased him on September 17, 1996. Veteran of the U.S. Army service 32 ½ years. George loved the military and his country. In 2017 he took one of the best trips he has ever taken with Vets Roll. George had a big heart, cared about everyone and had a great sense of humor. He was very social and could talk to anyone as if he had known them for years. George enjoyed going out to eat and loved a good meal. He enjoyed WWE Wrestling, NASCAR racing and the Green Bay Packers.

Survived by his children, Neil Nalan, George Nalan, Jr., Georganna (Jerry) Peterson, and Honesty Gibson; grandchild, Harold Scott Meyer; and brother, Chuck Nalan. Also predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Judy Dietsch, Marciele Wyland, Harvey E. "Mike" Nalan, Jr. and Norbert "Butch" Nalan.
