Ronald G. Eley, 67, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 in his home.
He was born on January 28, 1958 in Janesville, WI, the son of George and Leona (Liptow) Eley. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1976 until 1980. He married Shelly Crary on June 30, 1989 in Beloit, WI.
Ronald was formerly employed by General Motors until his retirement. In his younger years, he enjoyed working on cars. Ronald was a true Wisconsin sports fan; especially when it came to the Green Bay Packers. He loved spending time cooking, keeping busy with yard work, and listening to music. Ronald cherished being with his family during the holidays. He will be dearly missed and his "keep it between the ditches" phrase will always be remembered.
Survivors include his wife, Shelly Eley; children, Jennie (Jerry) Reitan of CO, Jared Eley of WI, Joseph (Jennifer) Eley of VA, and Jeremy Eley of WI; seven grandchildren; siblings, Jim (Ruth) Stauffacher, Kathy (Karl) Bell, Cindy (Billy) Meyers, Patty (Bob) Kilday, Jackie (Dave) Tester, and Dawn Short; mother-in-law, Diana Crary; sisters-in-law, Sheila (Nick) Arneson and Julie Eley; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Jamie Ennis; sister, Sue Polky; brother, Kevin Eley; father-in-law, Ray Crary; special brother-in-law, Gene Polky; and beloved cat, George.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Mercy Hospice for their kindness and compassion to Ronald.
A Memorial Service for Ronald will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, with Pastor Larry Froemming officiating.
